1stQuilt * December '89
My very first quilt. I made this as a Christmas present for my mom, in '89. She thought I was out being bad with a guy I met, who became my DH right before Christmas. Boy was she surprised to see what I REALLY was doing in his barracks room until 3am ;) * 500 x 375 * (87KB)
1stquiltinuse * December 25, 2004
Our little peanut just had a ball opening everyones presents this year. :) That was the most fun. :) He actually fell asleep while eating Christmas Dinner. So, I picked him up and asked mom for a blanket to lay him in. And, what does she bring out??? My very first quilt I ever made! So, naturally, I had to get a picture of it,
because I never did get one before. * 500 x 375 * (69KB)
CrazyBlock1 * Back in 1998, we lived in Germany and did not have access to any quilting stores. I found a wonderful place on the web called QuiltChat. I was part of their online chat room and participated in a couple of Secret Sister's swaps. Many of the lovely ladies sent me their scraps and to honor them, I began a king sized crazy scrappy quilt. This is the begining stage. * 400 x 267 * (18KB)

momstablerunner * September 1999 -- My Secret Sister Swap in Germany brought 4 Blocks of the Month my way. I loved them so much! They were fun to do but, I only had 4. So, what could I do? I made my mother a table runner for her dinning room table. This is exceptionally long but it fits just fine. Her table is 108 and I think this is 120 long. So it hangs down a bit on both ends! It ended up being her Christmas present that year. * 275 x 611 * (28KB)
momstablerunner2 * Mom's Tablerunner on her table. I tried to make it so it dangled over the edge of the table a few inches or so. Well, I got it but I think it needed to be longer. I made it from a few BOMs I got from a secret sister while I was in Germany. I didn't have access to mom's table. But all in all, it still looks rather nice I think. I am proud! I am not really good at applique, but it came out rather nice anyway. :) * 500 x 375 * (77KB)

DishesRClean * 1999--While living in Germany the many little luxuries we take for granted in the states are not easily accessible here. I wanted to find a dishwasher magnet that said Dishes Are Clean on one side and Dishes are Dirty on the other. But, no, I could not find one for the life of me. So, I decided to make one. Here is the resulting product. * 400 x 380 * (35KB)

FreedomIsNotFree * June 2000 -- My husband went to serve in Albania/Kosovo back in 1999. He was deployed on April 19th and I did not have any idea how long he would be gone. So, to honor him, and to keep me sane, I decided to make him a wall hanging. Here is the nearly completed project. All that is missing--the date of return. * 455 x 379 * (64KB)
FreedomIsNotFreeFinished * December 2001 -- My husband went to serve in Albania/Kosovo back in 1999. He was deployed on April 19th and I did not have any idea how long he would be gone.
