Closeup of the front and back. This one I hope, goes to the 9 year old. There are more fabrics for older boys in this one. I know, I messed up a bit on the backing. The quilt top was a few inches larger than the width of the backing. I had to make the backing in pieces.
The front is made with cotton 6 inch completed squares, 7 across and 7 down.
The backing is a flannel print of robots and space ships.
There is no batting. I figured with the hot climate of Florida, the flannel backing should suffice.
It is bordered and binded by a blue marble cotton.
It is tied with Lion's Brand bright multi-colored yarn.
